Bloggers generally write about something that interests them.. Thats what keeps fueling their fire and gives them the ability to create unique and interesting content on a daily basis… For example, “making money online,” that is a serious niche, with some serious competition… That being known, some people would say i’m wasting my time in this arena if my sole purpose was making money. Fortunately, the journey is more exciting than the destination.
People ask me all the time.. Why create a niche blog or website? Why do niche websites make money?
This is why niche websites make money :
They deliver high quality content, information that is generally valuable and useful to their readership. Many times the content provide on blogs and websites is information that cannot be found at your local library etc.. This creates scarcity which in turn creates value. When people use google to search online for something, they generally know what they are looking for before they search. If you can place yourself on the first or second page of search results for your niche, chances are you will get alot of traffic! Many people monetize their blogs with advertisements i.e. google adsense.. If they don’t find exactly what they were looking for on your site, they have convienent links they can use instead of going back to search again. This all amounts to making money from your website or blog…
