It’s time to get down to business and discuss various ways to earn money online with Google Adwords. I’ll be honest, this is a make money online / internet marketing business and to be fair to my readers I’ll be happy to fess up that lately I have been reviewing all sorts of different products that will help you earn fast money online but have nothing to do with how to make money blogging.

Internet marketing is one of the best fields to become an expert in if you want to create a business that is profitable and get a steady stream of customers with free traffic delivered from Google. Internet marketers use their knowledge to create extremely successful businesses that provide huge amounts of residual income in addition to royalties and business opportunities.

Google Adwords is a great advertising service if you have a good system built that has proven convertibility. What I mean to say is that if your website convinces the average joe to buy your product with a convincing and it doesn’t take much arm twisting, Google Adwords may become your best friend.

You need to watch out though, I have dumped a boatload of money into Adwords campaigns only to see the money vanish into thin air or more realistically devoured by a huge company that has a complete monopoly on search traffic.

If you know what you are doing and have a very solid system set up Google Adwords may end up creating you a huge amount of monthly revenue. There are a lot of scams and get rich quick programs that offer you the ability to learn while you work from home and make a million dollars with PPC campaigns. Some of the courses actually provide halfway decent information about things like click thru rate and CPM improvement techniques.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how to make PPC campaigns work for you and generate a profit from them but it does take the ability to do some scientific research and figure out the most profitable keywords.

Basically, if you don’t know which keywords and are profitable and which keywords will leave you with a 2nd mortgage on your house, suffice to say, you’re in trouble!

So the question remains…

How do I find profitable keywords for Google Adwords campaigns?

Well, obviously you will want to take a look at the product or service you are trying to market and sell. This isn’t very creative, but let’s assume that you are trying to market a product about how to make money online… Maybe it is a dvd series, ebook or consulting package for example.

The first thing you will want to do is find a keyword term that applies to your product.

Try to make it as general as possible so that you can focus on obtaining a large amount of search traffic for the main term and you can also pick off smaller related keyword terms while you’re at it…

Many people decide to use a keyword tool to help them conduct research regarding their target keyword term; some of these programs include Keyword Elite, Word Tracker etc…

Because I know that a lot of people don’t have too much expendable income at the moment, let me give you a tip… If you type in keyword tool into Google one of the first options that will come up is the Google Adwords Keyword Tool, this is a very helpful and not to mention FREE resource that gives you a wealth of information that will be important when creating your Adwords campaign.

After you use their tool and type in the term “How to Earn Money Online,” Google will give you a ton of related terms, the typical price an advertiser pays per click on average and they will also give you the total average number of searches that are made for that keyword on a monthly basis!

Copy that information into an excel spreadsheet for reference later… The next thing you will want to do is check out what your competitors are doing to draw in traffic for the keyword term How to Earn Money Online. After you type that phrase into Google you will see that there are advertisements on the top and right side of the page for this keyword term but on the left hand side the search results will show you websites that are getting this type of search traffic for free!

People generally bid on the keyword and the top winners get the sponsored links in order of who bid the most per click at the top and the second and third place bidders following close behind.

If your competition is bidding on a keyword, making it to the top of the sponsored links section for your target keyword and they manage to stick around for more than a month… They are making money! Why would you continue to pay for something that wasn’t making you money??

Find a website that you would like to imitate and track it for a few weeks, all you will need to do is periodically paste in the target keywords, in my case, how to earn money online and then type it into Google a few times everyday and make sure your targeted website i.e. earnmoneyonlinenow.com is coming up high on the sponsored listings. If they are there for a few weeks, its time to start making your move!

Ok, let’s rewind, we have a primary target keyword, we have a FREE list of related keywords, we know which website is making money with those keywords, how they are making money with the keywords and what their advertisements have been saying… Is there any reason we can’t totally capitalize on this situation and take a shot at knocking them off the hill?

The next thing we will need to do is take our related list of keywords and search Google to see if our target competition comes up in the search results. This will allow us to figure out what keywords they are bidding on and therefore, what keywords they are finding profitable in selling their product.

Then we will take those keywords and use them in our own Adwords campaign selling an identical product with an almost identical website!

If you have a program like keyword elite, it will let you automate this market research portion of the process and will greatly reduce the time you spend in this effort however the outcome will be very similar either way…

Beyond that, it has also given me the number of times each keyword term has been searched for on average per month!

After you start searching for those keywords everyday you are sure to find some interesting trends, the longer you see the same websites running those keywords the better the chance that the keywords are profitable for them.

The other part of the equation is what to sell after you figure out exactly how to promote it using PPC Adwords campaigns.

For this part I would recommend that you do some research regarding affiliate programs.

A common strategy that people like to do is figure out what type of product you would like to promote, find a competitor and used the process described above to do your research and then go to an affiliate website called Clickbank, sign up for a free account and then find a similar product to promote with your affiliate link or a dummy website that has a redirect to the products website using your affiliate link.

I understand that the terminology can be a little confusing for the beginning internet marketer however as you continue to read about affiliate programs, internet marketing, Google Adsense, and web development basics, all this terminology will cease to be foreign to you and everything will begin to make more sense.
