Hubpages Review

What Are Hubpages?

In the exploration of how to make money online, it seems an appropriate time to offer a comprehensive Hubpage Review. When trying to build backlinks you need to scour every niche and turn over rocks to find appropriate ways to increase your page rank. Many people have heard of the service before but few actually take the time to explore what it is and how it can help you grow your business.

Hubpages are very similar to Squidoo Lenses in the sense that what you are essentially creating is a micro-blog… Most people create lenses on a certain topic and then link them to other lenses in related categories building up a network of mini blogs so to speak eventually creating a nice little web empire.

They are different from your typical Blogger/Blogspot blog in the sense that their community revolves around revenue sharing and their participants are referred to as “Hubbers.” The HubPage system includes ranking for different pages based on the quality of the content. Because they are basically a social networking site, the ability to gain a quick amount of traffic from other hubsurfers is quite easy.

Another benefit to their system is that Google tends to favor this type of site and you can generally get your HubPage indexed in under 48 hours if you conduct proper on page SEO and offer quality content that elaborates on your subject in length.

We have discussed previously how long articles help you make money online because you end up touching on many more long tail keywords. The more long tail keywords you incorporate into your articles the better your chance that you will StumbleUpon something that brings in a significant amount of traffic.

Keep in mind that most of the highly desired and short target keywords are saturated with competition so you may need to be creative and find long tail keywords that aren’t as common as eating cereal for breakfast.

Getting back to the subject at hand, because HubPages rank well in google and tend to move up in page rank quickly, they offer an amazing opportunity to target niche markets and experiment with different long tail and medium tail keyword terms that you think may be profitable.

HubPages doesn’t like when you use lots of affiliate products on your page but a few targeted affiliate products and reviews in your niche can go a long way. It is also possible to set up Google Adsense on these pages however you will have to share the revenue with HubPages its still not a bad way to pick up a couple extra dollars.

After you create a truckload of HubPages focusing on different niches, you can try to find ways to get backlinks and create quality content for them. It wont take as much work to get a decent page rank and start seeing search engine traffic if you target keywords in niches that are not as competitive but still offer decent amounts of search engine traffic. After you get these niche pages loaded up with content i.e. create articles about the niche subjects and possibly rewrite a few PLR articles as well to beef up the quantity, move on to the next HubPage and do it again. If you’ve done your job right, you will be able to leverage these pages and their PR by linking them to your primary domains in similar niches.

What you have done is created an incredibly valuable niche catalog of sites that you can use to increase the page rank in your primary websites.

Finally one of the best things about the HubPage service is that its completely free just like Squidoo. This means there is no limitation to the number of HubPages you can make and therefore leverage and make income from.

If you are really trying to make money online, websites and blogs are a great way to go about it. The problem is that most people create content and just expect the traffic to start flowing… In a perfect world this would be the case but nowadays the people that are the most successful implement on page and off page seo tactics… You can’t just slap up a bunch of articles and Google Adsense text links and expect to make a fortune right off the bat…

It’s important to look at your website as a living breathing entity, just like a seed, it needs the proper conditions to grow. Create content that caters towards your primary and secondary target keywords and then go out and find strategic linking partners that are willing to use anchor text to link to your articles using their title names.

Recently I used this approach for a review I wrote about a new program called Me2Everyone. Even though there weren’t that many search results for this particular term, I knew because of the age of this blog and the low quantity of links I had that if I wanted to monopolize that particular keyword I would have to not only write a nice long article about the program but also manage to find a few places where I could drop a few anchor text links with the keyword me 2 everyone in it for good measure.

Now if you search for the term Me2Everyone I think you will probably find my review on the third or fourth page of search listings but if you search for the term Me2everyone review, guess who is on top.

If you just recently created your blog or website try to focus on getting rankings for keywords that don’t have too much traffic but are in the same niche. There is a snowball effect that occurs when you start small and work your way up. Because I was able to ace the term Me2Everyone, I am now able to focus on keyword terms that have more competition. The more keyword terms you start to rank high for the easier it gets to add new long tail and short tail keywords into the mix.

Search engine optimization isn’t that difficult if you pay attention to the fundamentals… Try to focus on making sure your title, headers, and body content all have your keyword terms… Remember to only use your keywords in the title of your article if possible, by doing this you strengthen Google’s perception of the importance of your page and you avoid diluting the link juice or index relevance of your article.

This always seems to happen… I start writing a review about HubPages and wind up taking a detour around search engine optimization and page rank strategies.

My main point in this article was the fact that this Hubpages Review tells you exactly what you need to do if you want to create a high page rank niche backlink empire and use it to propel your blogs, websites and related entities towards success at a much faster rate. If you really want to know how to make money online then you should learn how to use these free resources to your advantage!
