Link Popularity Check

If you are involved with internet marketing in an effort to make money online, you might want to consider downloading and using the free Link Popularity Check tool. This is a program I use quite frequently to monitor the progress of my websites… It will give you a benchmark that you can build upon and you can use it to compare the link popularity of your website to that of your competitors.

SEO is a difficult game to master and over time there are many shortcuts to be found…

What works for one person may not work as well for another so really it’s about finding ways to achieve success that work for you. Beyond the mechanical actions that someone is required to make to rank well in the search engines, we all have are own philosophies regarding what works and what doesn’t.

In my opinion, building links is not about quantity or speed, it is about quality. It is much better to have a handful of high quality links than a horde of low quality links. As long as they are not coming from farms both will help you gain success in the search engines but when your website is brand new you should try your best to focus on obtaining a couple extremely strong blogroll i.e. sitewide links in addition to conducting valuable methods like article marketing.

I’ve written an entire review about IBP & Arelis, the company that makes Link Popularity Check and you can feel free to read it if you would like. If you’re not trying to invest in expensive software for your SEO operations then you may find the free program that they offer to be extremely useful…

Basically the software reviews the number of pages with links to your website on the following networks:

AllTheWeb
AltaVista
Google
MSN
Yahoo

These are really the only search engines that count nowadays and you probably wont start to see a large amount of natural search engine traffic until you reach the 20,000 mark in regard to popularity. It takes time and effort to conduct a proper SEO campaign so it’s not wise to expect to see results overnight.

I’ve been doing this for years and over time you will figure out what works and get results and what is pretty much a waste of time. Link popularity check is a fantastic program for internet marketers to add to their toolbox.

Other tools I often use include:

Google Keyword Tool

WordTracker

SEO Tools Rank Checker

If you have a free tool that you have found useful in regard to search engine optimization and internet marketing ventures, please feel free to leave a comment so I can add it to this list.

Getting an accurate count on your links can be tough sometimes. It seems you get a different number with each tool and each search engine. This can make figuring out exactly where you stand and what is truly benefiting you tough.
